  We arrived a little late to collect our dog. We had attempted to contact the kennel owners on over 20 occasions to inform them, with no success. When we arrived, we politely appologised and explained that long journeys with our disabled son can be unpredictable and challenging. The response of the cold and miserable woman who owns the place was that a child's disability gave us no 'excuse' to be late all the time. Furthermore, our dog absolutely stank and howled and whimpered all the way home. I would eat my own foot before allowing this woman anywhere near my pet again. It is a shame that the rating doesn't extend into negative numbers. Heed my warning, find somewhere else or cancel your holiday. *** Further to the owners response. I would like to thank you for confirming the blatantly discriminatory attitude you held on the day. From the outset you were made aware that our son was autistic and that long journeys were a problem. The Equality Act 2010 demands that services make reasonable adjustments to limit disadvantage. In this instance, it can take time before our son is ready to undertake a journey. Your reference to our 'record' of being late, is also a reference to the awareness you had of our situation. One would hope that such awareness would encourage a more human response. In fact it would be perfectly reasonable to epext this. Unfortunately your inflexible behaviour and derrogatory remarks do not reflect this hope in the slightest. FYI there is a record of 23 calls made, from my phone, to your number on the day in question. Not everyone who works is miserable, in fact the opposite is true.
